"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

I used tamiya's TS-50 mica blue (ordered online from the tamiyausa store, they have never let me down for supplies or paint), it took about 5 coats to get it took look like that plus two gloss coats, one before decaling and one coat of Mr. Hobby gloss topcoat after. Costly, but the results speak for themselves.
